Hope Davis, Co-Owner
Hope has a passion for developing athletes into high-level competitors while also equipping athletes with tools for life.
Hope has been coaching Club Volleyball for 11 years (10 years as a head coach) and coached College Volleyball at Avila University for 3 years as an Assistant Coach. During this time, she has graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelors in Psychology and a Minor in Education while playing for the KU Women’s Club Volleyball Team. After graduation, Hope used her left over eligibility to play volleyball at Avila University while pursuing a Masters Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Mental Health. Hope uses her psychology and education background to create the best atmosphere for young athletes to build a great volleyball skillset while also becoming respectful, responsible, and successful kids on and off the court.
Impact, CAP I, and CAP II certified through USAV.
Emily Ginavan, Co-Owner
Emily is a Dallas, Texas native, who competed in the North Texas Region for a top ranked club throughout high school. She went on to play her freshman year at a Division I program, UT-Arlington, then transferred to finish her career at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, a Division II program. While she was there she received All-conference honors and a Bachelor degree in Exercise Science. Before Junior year, Emily went to Europe and played on a junior pro USA team, placing 2nd to Italy.
Emily began coaching in high school with a 5th grade team, then was an Assistant Coach at Club Nortex with a U16 team. Since moving to Kansas in 2017, she had been head coaching at SKC, ages U13-U18. Emily loves working with athletes to develop and build solid fundamentals.
Impact and CAP I certified through USAV.

Dee Williams
Assistant Club Director
13Black and 15Black Head Coach - Specializes in Attacking/Blocking
Dee played at Avila University for 5 years, where she led as one of the captains of the team and received both first team all-conference and second team all-conference twice! Dee graduated with her Bachelors and Masters of Kinesiology both from Avila.
Dee has been coaching club volleyball for 7 years. Before 913Athletics she coached at Southwind Volleyball Club and Mustangs Volleyball Club. Dee has been playing volleyball for 17 years.
Dee has a huge passion for not just volleyball itself, but helping and teaching kids the sport of volleyball and how it can impact their lives in a positive way.

Chloe Brundick
14White Head Coach & 15National Assistant Coach - Specializes in Setting/DS/L
Chloe has coached U13-U15 between club and school programs and has assisted on U15-U18 teams. She has 4 years of coaching experience and 14 years of playing experience. During her 4 year volleyball career at Avila University, where she led the team as one of the captains, she played in every single Varsity match as a setter and reached over 1,000 assists by the end of her career (2018-2022). Chloe is from Saint Louis and played for Rockwood Thunder Volleyball Club. Chloe graduated in 2023 with a Biology and Psychology degree from Avila University.

Meredith Zielie
14National Head Coach - Specializes in Attacking/DS/L
Meredith started playing volleyball in 2008 for Nebraska Elite. Meredith graduated from the University of Kansas where she played on the club volleyball team and became president, while also coaching for Seabury Middle and High School teams. The past 4 years she has coached at Lawrence Landsharks coaching high-level team from ages 12-18. Through her time at Landsharks, she attended Caribbean Volleyball Championship located in Puerto Rico and AAU Girls National Volleyball Championships. Meredith has 9 years of coaching experience.
After graduating from KU, Meredith earned a Bachelor’s of Science from the School of Business in Information System Technology and a Certificate in Project Management Engineering. Meredith continues her love and admiration of the sport by joining the 913 team and playing in local tournaments.

Katie Heeter
Specializes in Pins/DS/L
Katie has been playing volleyball for 13 years and still actively plays in adult leagues. Katie was captain of her team and female athlete of the year at Kansas City Kansas Community College. After KCKCC, Katie played volleyball at Washburn, where she completed her career. While she was at Washburn her team was able to play in the Final Four and ended 3rd in NCAA Division 2.
Katie has been coaching for 8 years. She coached at MAVS for 3 years and coached 4 seasons of JV at Shawnee Mission West and is now the head coach of the program.

Brandy Njogu
15Black Assistant Coach - Specializes in Hitting/Blocking
Brandy is one of Coach Hope’s former club athletes and will be an assistant coach for 913. She has been playing volleyball for 11 years and played as a Middle/Right side for Coach Davis. Since graduating High School, Brandy was the Volleyball Manager at UMKC for the last 3 years while attending school. Brandy would attend all of UMKC’s practices and games, where she would assists the other coaches in running drills and has been able to soak a lot of the knowledge in. Brandy is getting ready to start her second year of Pharmacy school and second year of coaching for 913.

Adrian Romero
Specializes in DS/L/Pins
Adrian has been playing volleyball for 8 years. He started his volleyball career with the KU Men’s Volleyball Club where he played for 5 years and traveled to national championships, conference games, and university invitationals during his time with KU Club.
Adrian has been coaching volleyball for 4 years, heading into his second season at 913. His defensive mindset makes his teams known for being gritty and hardworking.
Adrian wrapped up his master’s in environmental engineering at KU in 2023. He is known for his enthusiasm and passion for the sport along with his hustling attitude on and off the court.

Emily Paget
13Black Junior Assistant Coach
Emily will be entering her second year of playing and coaching at 913 and her senior year this Fall at Baldwin High School. She has played volleyball for 8 years and has played for Coach Hope for 5 seasons. Emily has been on Varsity all 4 years of High School and has earned an all academic first team award at Baldwin. Emily competed as a setter/hitter and the captain of her team last year at 913.

Christian Martin
15 White Head Coach – Specializes in Setting/Pins
Christian has played volleyball for 14 years and still actively plays in adult leagues. Christian graduated from the University of Kansas where he played on the men’s club volleyball team and studied psychology. During his time with KU club, he traveled to national championships, conference games, university invitationals and served as president for one season.
Christian has been coaching for 6 years and this will be his first season with 913. He has coached for multiple clubs in the KC metro area and currently head coaches a premier team at MAVS boys volleyball club.

Kaitlyn Raith
12White Head Coach - Specializes in DS/L
Kaitlyn played college at MSU-West Plains as a DS/L, and was a 2A Missouri State Champion as a 1st Team All State Libero and 2x Conference Defensive Player of the Year in High School. She specializes in DS/L and is excited to teach young athletes the importance and excitement of defense! Kaitlyn is excited to coach her first year with 913 and share her passion with her team.

Abby Ferrell
13White Head Coach - Specializes in Setting/DS/L
Abby started playing volleyball in the 5th grade when she fell in love with the sport after watching her older cousin play in a club tournament. She played club ball with Ozark Jrs in Fayetteville, Arkansas and played for the three time 7A Arkansas State Champion Fayetteville High School Volleyball Team. She moved to Kansas City to get her nursing degree at UMKC. She then moved to Columbia, MO and coached for two years with Club Como (now Alpha Omega). She is excited to be back in the KC area and looking forward to her first season with 913Athletics!

Claudio Vergara-Ojeda
12Black Head Coach & 18Black Assistant Coach - Specializes in Blocking & Beach Doubles
Claudio graduated from Donnelly College in 2020 with his Bachelor’s in Information Systems. He started playing volleyball because of his favorite anime, Haiykuu! Since then, his knowledge of volleyball has grown immensely. You can catch Claudio in the gym playing volleyball, at the beach playing volleyball, or helping coach his younger brother just about every day. Claudio is excited to coach his first year at 913 and inspire the next generation of volleyball athletes.

Jessi Loucks
15White Assistant Coach - Specializes in DS/L
Jessi has 3 years of coaching experience between EVA and Mavs, and 15 years of playing experience, primarily as a defensive specialist/libero. Jessi played 2 years of volleyball at Ottawa University, where she was a libero.
Jessi graduated with her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2018, and will graduate with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Kansas Medical Center in December of 2024.
Jessi is passionate about helping athletes to see their potential and develop self confidence. She strives to build a culture of respect, kindness, and positive energy both on and off the volleyball court.

Ian Pajich
16Black Head Coach - Specializes in Attacking/Defensive Systems
Coach Ian Pajich has coached girls’ club and school volleyball for the past four and a half years. He graduated from St. James Academy in 2020 as a two-time Varsity Football Letterer and played on the first men’s volleyball team at St. James Academy in 2020. Coach Ian is currently studying Business Administration at Johnson County Community College. He has spent the previous three club seasons at KC Fire Volleyball Club. Ian is also the head volleyball coach for the Independence Homeschool girls’ volleyball program and is entering his third season. His coaching motto is, “No player is any less or any more than the other. Every player has a role to play on the team, no matter how big or small. As a team, we aim to win, learn from our mistakes, and trust each other on the court.”

Carrie Fisher
12Black Assistant Coach - Specializes in Attacking
Carrie has been playing volleyball for 15 years with training on middle, outside, and opposite. She played at Highland Community College where she also began coaching club for two years at NEK Juniors.
While receiving her Bachelor’s in communication at Missouri Western, she coached another two years with Summit. She recently graduated from the University of Kansas where she earned her Master’s in Higher Education. Carrie is excited to come out of her coaching hiatus for her first year coaching at 913!

Maddie Green
14White Assistant Coach - Specializes in Blocking/Hitting
Maddie has been playing volleyball for 15 years. Maddie is a middle blocker/opposite and played both positions throughout high school and club. She spent five years playing club for Black Hills Juniors, qualifying for and competing at national tournaments for two of those five seasons.
Maddie attended the University of South Dakota, and after graduating in 2019, she moved to Lawrence for grad school. She earned her Masters in Education from KU in 2023 before relocating to Kansas City, where she continues to play locally. She’s excited to start coaching and can’t wait for her first season with 913.

John Pajich
16Black Assistant Coach - Specializes in Offensive/Defensive Systems and Middle Attacking
Coach John fell in love with the sport in 2016 when he coached his daughter CYO volleyball team. He has continued to coach his daughter since then for both homeschooled teams and club volleyball (KC Impact, KC Fire, Attack). Currently, he is the volleyball AD and board member for Independence Homeschool (IHS). Coach John believes that you learn life lessons through volleyball. He values organization, relentless effort, and "having a blast on the court." His core values are Gratitude, Resilience, Effort, Achievement, and TrUSt (GREAT). His greatest joy in coaching is when players realize their potential beyond their expectations.
Coach John played ice hockey and water polo in high school as a goalie. Originally from the NW suburbs of Chicago, he moved to the KC area in 2005. He has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State and leads a coatings R&D group for a local resin company. He enjoys spending time with his wife Maria and their 6 kids. He is very grateful that Maria supports his passion for coaching!

Brynna Rottinghaus
Junior Assistant Coach
Brynna has been playing volleyball for 8 years and has played for Coach Hope for the last 4 seasons as a DS/L. She will be entering her senior year at Olathe Northwest this Fall. Brynna has always been a fierce competitor, so we are excited to see her transition into the role of coaching!

Trevor Pentola
Speed, Strength, and Agility Coach
Trevor graduated from William Jewell College with a B.S. in Exercise Science while he played for the mens soccer team. After he hung up his cleats he found a new passion for helping individuals find and maintain a healthier lifestyle as well as investing time in young athletes pursuing their own passions in sports/activities.
Trevor runs our speed, strength, and agility program here at 913. Trevor is PT Certified and owns his own business: Be Your Best Personal Training INC.
